KS Security is one of a handful of manufacturers in the UK whose products are tested by the Post Office Ltd. for use in sub post offices, these include: Fortress Counters & Screens, Open Plan Counters, Combi Counters and a range of Transfer Units.
The Post Office Approval Process
Any company wishing to be considered by Post Office Ltd. must have achieved ‘tested’ status. This involves being assessed against a number of strict security standards.
Standards exist for virtually every element found within the build of a post office, from anti bandit screens to solid core security doors; cash trays to vertical sliding hatches; parcel transfer siphons to fortress counters.
Manufacturers’ units have to be built to these exacting standards be tested and passed. Installers’ implementation skills are also examined to ensure that each item is installed correctly to guarantee not only quality of work, but also safety. This is particularly important in the installation of fortress counters and screens.
