Solid Core Security Door Specification
Our internal sub post office solid core security doors are built to physical attack specifications. They are provided, ‘pre-hung’ in a metal frame on two pairs of hi-load butts with a hinge bolt as standard in accordance with the Post Office Ltd.’s standards.
On installation these doors are normally hung outward opening and hinged against potential attack. The door, frame and all associated hardware offer a minimum resistance time of one minute to either opening or the creation of a man sized hole (315mm x 315mm) in the door leaf.
Finished in ash veneer the doors also incorporates a bullet resistant single panel to provide secure vision if under attack.

- Solid ply core finished in ash veneer
- Fittings
- 4 x hi-load steel hinges; 2 x Ingersoll hinge bolts; Chubb 3R35X latching lock with escutcheon plate and handle set. Aluminium “T” strip to closing edge on outward opening doors, 1 x “D” handle.

- 70mm x 30mm steel box section with 20mm sq steel stops

- Vision Panel
- 600mm x 255mm steel frame. Vison area: 500mm x 155mm. 36mm laminated bullet resistant BRG G1 Class BR3 security glass.
- Finish
- All frames are polyester powder coated – Goosewing grey- to BS00A05. Leaf, sanding sealed ready for finishing.
